It's All About Eggs! Time to Cluck a Little

Ok...I've been MIA cause I've been working on my real estate business & it's crazy busy. So yesterday after a busy day working, I ran to the grocery store to buy some eggs, which I didn't even know we were out of until that morning, and naturally I was running late but decided to make a quick omelet. But, much to my dismay we were all out of eggs-so I left home without breakfast-wasn't as late as I would have been (I guess that's a good thing). I'm kinda getting used to not eating breakfast lately (I guess that's a bad thing). Anyway, I want you to know I love google...you can find anything on google! It's actually amazing and I'll get to that in just a second.

So, I ran into Wal-Mart (yes, I go to Wal-Mart...so stop the negative judgement please).  Went to the refrigerated egg section and much to my dismay I noticed the prices on the eggs seemed outrageous. I had to have eggs so I bought them anyway, but was flabbergasted that they cost so much. Then I remembered there was some reason due to a problem or some such thing that I vaguely remembered or had heard in the news but I could not remember the exact reason.

When I got home I set my eggs down on the counter because they were all bundled up in a packaging that was protective-put them in the frig and headed over to my receipts to find a recent egg purchase. Yep, I was right, just a week ago the same eggs cost 43% (I actually did the math) less then yesterday. Well because curiousity is my middle name, I headed over to my computer to find out why...this is why I love google-you can find out everything there. Well, sure enough there was the reason right there. Mexico had chickens with avian flu...which means the price of eggs are going up...up...up.

Well, this morning I decided I was going to get extravagant and have my omelet that used to cost only  .32çents (egg price only) but now costs .47cents....not nearly as much as iHop, but thats not the point...after I opened the packaging-the type you can't even check the eggs to see if they are cracked-well for the 1st time since I've been buying these type (years) I have 2 eggs that are broken & guess what I couldn't even have my omelet because after I called Wally World to ask about a return, they needed me to bring the entire package back (yes, I'm returning these broken eggs...its my good earned, no correction, its Guys good earned money) to get a new package! So again, no breakfast because I'm not running over to Wally World for a special trip! Thanks for letting me cluck a little!

I hope you all had an en"joi"able day!!!
