Optometrist Cards-A Few More Ideas

I wasn't sure if the last post was manly enough, so I made a few more for my friends office.  If you read the "eye chart" it says "OUR FOCUS IS ON YOUR VISION AND EYE CARE NEEDS".  I thought this was kind of a clever little card.  What do you think?  Simple & clever!
The eye chart is popped up on the card.  Inside with the salutation that the office wanted printed inside!  Does this look masculine enough?
Another printed card.  If you look closely, you will see a bible page in the background!

The next one has the constitution of the US in the background...I just love that antique look.
Love the little framed Ousley Vision Center.
If you ever need any eye care you need to visit this office...they are the best.

An Attempt @ a Custom Card for a Great Optometrist Office & Dear Friend

I was asked to possibly make some "thank you" cards for a dear friends business.  If you ever need a great optometrist, you need to visit Ousley Vision Center in Highland Village, TX.  So here is what I came up with.
I started playing with my silhouette and drew some glasses, played with putting in different fills I made some fun glasses!  It took all day because I have never done this before, but I loved figuring it out.

Polka dot glasses?  A little bit of fun never hurts.  Oh yeah, check out this font...isn't it fun.
Had to fancy it up a bit with some embossing.  But still tried to keep it simple.

Inside is printed to keep those staff members working hard & now all they have to do is sign the card!  Heehee.
Heres a pair of plaid glasses....oh and I had to change up the font a bit...I like fancy fonts.
Purple polka dots too...the options are endless!  En"joi" my blogger friends.  Leave a post so I can smile.  : )

Dress Box

Cutest thing ever!
Here is a really fun and cute gift idea for a gal.  These are decorated dress boxes!  I embossed with my cuttlebug folder, placed some pearls at the neckline, added lace at the bottom for a ruffle look !
Tied a cute little ribbon around the waistline and a flower to make it more dimensional!

Close up of the flower...I added a pearl to the brad to dress it up a bit.

Tied a pretty little bow in the back
And added a smaller flower.
It was the cutest thing!  En"joi"!

Hope you had a Happy Easter!

I know its is a little late posting this, but I had to wait until I gave my little tokens of "love" to my girlfriends.  So let me show you!
First I found this cute little bubble pen at a local craft store.
Then I needed to gift wrap it, but I didn't want to wrap it with wrapping paper so I came up with this idea.
I had made these cute little raffia flowers!

Then I wanted to cover up what was on the inside of the gift so I used a Chocolate Easter Bunny treat!
They were so cute!  I loved them....I hope my girlfriends did too, even though we are all trying to watch our figures!!  Sometimes we have to splurge.  Hee hee!
En"joi" your little choco..lattie  treat my friends!!!

Custom Masculine Card for a Dear Friend

Well...this was a challenge.  My girlfriend needs a special card for her husband.  She is going into surgery next Friday & is especially concerned about the final outcome.  We (her friends & even she) know that she is in Gods hands and will do amazing...but still a little scary to say the least.  Anyway, she wants a card that has symbolism with some of the things that she says to her husband & some of the things that he says to her.
She says to him that he is "her knight in shining armour" & he says he is "her ship that came in".  I know I probably have that wrong....but thats how I remember it went. So here is what I came up with:
You can see that the background is a ship coming in!
This is a woman admiring her "Knight in Shining Armour"!
Here is a close up.....

I certainly hope she is happy with the results.  The inside has a saying that is also a request from my dear friend.  I'll keep that a mystery.  En"joi" your day!

Masculine Birthday card

Hi gals!  I was in a quandry today!  I needed a masculine birthday card for a great friend, actually an "ole" hockey parent friend.  We have known him and his family since the very early days of ice hockey when both our boys played together!  I found an old vintage cake clip art and decided to use it.  I had to dress it up a little with a boyish bow.

Yes, he is turning a young 44 y.o. today
Notice, I embossed the cake decorations with clear embossing powder.  This was quick to make....just hard to decide how to make it.  En"joi"!  I hope it looks guyish enough....I think it does...hmmm-still on the fence. Thanks for stopping by.

Fabric Flowers

Yes, I told you that lately I've been addicted to flowers!  Sorry if you are getting sick of seeing them.  I decided to do some chiffon flowers mixed with some cotton fabric today.  You see I do not have any girls...just 2 boys, well they are now young men-both in college now, so I guess I'm living precariously through my girly childhood.  So, I decided to make some flowers for my dogs!  Yes, my dogs.
I made one for my girlfriends dog DeeZee!  I guess that is how she spells her name.
I decided to attach them to my pups collars!

WOW!!!  This is so close up....you can see the weave in the fabric.
Jeremiah...my boy maltese had to have a button...no girly stuff for him...heehee.
They looked so cute on the walk.

My subjects were not very cooperative while taking these pictures.

After the walk I had better luck with the photos....just get a lot more panting!  Its very humid here today and ~90 degrees.

Izzy was ready to stop the photo shoot...she was sticking her tongue out at me!  This is what you do when your kids go away to college...scary.  En"joi" your day!

In Love with Flowers

This morning I went out and saw my peonies starting to bloom...I'm so excited because last year I only had one bloom on this plant.  This year I have 4 blossoms on this plant.
Here is a close up!
God makes such beautiful things....I'm in awe.

This afternoon, I was walking outside to let my little puppies out & I saw this fellow....he likes his picture being taken.  But look at my peonies...they are really in full bloom and it has only been about 6 hours.

 God is awesome!!!
