Cutest Shop in Argyle, TX "Stolen Horses"

Went to the cutest shop in Arygle, TX yesterday called "Stolen Horses". If you are ever in Argyle it is a "must stop" spot. Things that you don't normally see in your shopping experience. Lots of handcrafted goodies too. The owners are the best & so fun. I went a little crazy & you will too! Not only that, but I got so inspired with ideas. I can't wait to create. But, now I have the urge to create big things...canvas bags. I just need a little more space@home. I purchased a gorgeous bowl for a friends birthday, plus a few other goodies. They sell these awesome handcrafted bracelets & very special piece jewelry items for a gal who helps with an organization called RED LIGHT RESCUE. To learn more about the women who make the jewelry, visit www.sowerofseeds.org/asha access code: Hope. You must check that out. When I got home I wanted to make a card to match the gift wrapping. Of course, since I'm so last minute, I made a birthday card & gave it to my friend with out taking a picture. So I made another quick card to go with the gift wrapping. Hope you en"joi"!

Hope you en"joi"ed the card that I had fun making, now go visit  "Stolen Horses"!

On a roll....soda can flowers

Well here is another idea that you can make with aluminum cans. Only problem for me is we don't drink soda, so I have to ask my neighbors for their cans. Here is one I made.  A couple different views.  Use your imagination where you might apply them.  They are not sharp on the edges either...I thought that was amazing.

Pansy Box

A little box to put a special gift in for a special friend!
The pansy looks real.  Here is a close up.
So easy to make.  This was all hand made.  If interested in learning the technique feel free to leave a comment.  Have a great Sunday!

Nothing to Do with Cards!

Well, I'm really just posting this to share with my family that lives about 1500 miles away...so sorry for those who really could care less.  But, I've finally gotten my patio furniture that I have been trying to convince my husband that we needed.  So....here are some pictures.
This is what was there prior to my new patio furniture.  I wanted a couple more seats out there so we would use the area more.  Now is a perfect time to sit outside...the weather is great.  Just have seen a lot of pollen (yellow dusting) on the glass tables.

A few more places to sit!!! Yeah.

Heres the sofa...
One of the chairs!
Slightly closer
Up close!
I'm looking forward to spending some time outside...but now in search of a nice coffee table without spending an arm and a leg.  Let me know if you have seen any great ones!
Have a great TGIF!

Sweet "Heart Punch" Wedding Cards

Well, I saw a post on a stampin up demonstrators website and had to give it a try.  I love watching her fun videos on how to make paper things.  But, I decided to change it up slightly.  I don't know why I'm doing wedding cards right now....no one in my family is planning any weddings (thank the lord).  I just want them to finish college & find a job for now.

Bow tie!

Or tie!

Notice the necklines in the wedding dress!  You can change them using different punches.  I happened to use my ornament punch from stampin up to make them a little more "sexy"!

Can't forget the boutonniere!

All the flowers where handmade too.
Anyway....hope you en"joi"ed the few pictures.  Keep on smilin'!

Wedding Cards

I have an amazing long time friend named Karen, who has been watching me learn how to create stamped cards and paper flowers....she called me yesterday about my cards.  Wow!  I was so excited.  She knows someone who is getting married!!!   Actually she needs two wedding cards.  She even wanted to know if I would sell them to her.  Of course....my first customer, it is very exciting.  So, crazy me....stayed up til about 4:35am working in my small craft world on wedding cards.  But, I was having so much fun I just couldn't stop myself. My husband thinks I'm crazy. You know,  sometimes its all about the moment.  Heres what I came up with.
Hope you en"joi" the goodies I have created.
Just a few.  More to follow.
Here is the first one.  Simple but elegant.  How on earth will it fit in an envelope?  Well, maybe I could make a box instead.  Here's what I came up with.
A little box so the flowers don't get crushed
Now, here are some close ups of a few more cards.
Roses are beautiful & very weddingie...I know that is not a word, but oh well.
Now this one is really interesting.  Karen mentioned that the wedding invitation has silver & pearls on it, so I had to go to the store & get some gray (silver) ribbon.  The flower is also made gray (really could be any color someone would want).  I used embossing powder around the sentiment using my versamarker & clear embossing powder-I know it's hard to see the camera didn't pick up the shiny embossing around the frame.  The background is just an image I had saved.

Now this one is a gift card.  Notice the envelope that matches.
Slide a gift card in and your ready to go!

This could be used for any occassion....wedding, birthday, celebration.  Let me know what you think in the comment section.  I still haven't had any comments yet.

One More Card

I just can't seem to help myself today...I guess I'm in the mood.  Here is a card that could have any sentiment added to it for any occassion.  I used my new silhouette to cut the flower out.
Close up of the flower details.  Enjoi your day!

Another Card

Close up of the flowers & butterflies!!!  Loving that.

Well, here is a card I did about a month ago.  You will find that sometimes I will use dental things in my cards or creations.  See if you can notice anything....dental?  It isn't hard.

A few more pics!  If you click on the picture you can see it in a larger size.
    Enjoi!

Elegant & Casual Card

Happy St. Patty's Day!  I hope everyone is wearing their green today...if not don't be surprised if you get an unexpected pinched.  I wanted to share this card I made this morning with you.  I am really into flowers right now.  With the winter dragging on I'm ready for some TX warmth & sunshine.  It doesn't have any green, but then again I started it before I had my coffee & realized it was pattys day, if you look real hard maybe you can see green.  Hope you enjoy your day!  Happy creating.

Decisions decisions decisions

Decide on the next big order. There are so many goodies out there to chose from. What is your favorite stamp, tool or accessory? I'm in love with the ornament punch from stamping up. I'll have to share why. Do you like flowers? Roses? Well stay tuned. I'm going to try to figure out how to video a tutorial. If anyone can help I would love to hear because I'm new to this. Never put a video on the web. Thanks in advance.
