Chalkboard Tags

DIY CHALKBOARD HANG TAGS

I recently had a pool party & used a couple of my drink dispensers that I recently purchase.  The only problem was, I hadn't had time to buy those cute chalkboard tags to hang from the lid to let everyone know what was in them.  After looking online & at a couple local stores, I couldn't find what I really wanted!  I wanted something very simple & yet classy at the same time.
I figured if I can't find them, why not make them.
So off to my favorite craft store HL .....I even was hoping  I might be able to find some there, already made, but no luck!   I started looking at the chalkboard paint & spray paints, until I ran across some chalkboard vinyl!  I really don't enjoy the "mess" of painting anyway...

So, I grabbed it & off to the cashier!  I wish I had gotten some chalk... cause mine is broken & in  small pieces!

So gather the supplies!  It had to be somewhat stiff, so I found a Hunts tomato box, but a cereal box would also do nicely.
A good friend had given me a roll of white vinyl backed paper that up to now was unsure what I would use it for....but because we are going to be using liquids, if was important for the tags to be somewhat waterproof.

Using my spray adhesive I sprayed the Hunts cardboard and then applied my white paper vinyl with the vinyl side out.  Placed the chalkboard vinyl on the opposite side & got my handy dandy

Big Kick die cutter out.

Selected a die with the circle size that I thought would work.....and ran it thru!

Walla.....then grabbed my handy dandy grommets &

cropadile

Added some ribbon & there you have it!

You could even make them for a gift for your gf's
Thanks for visiting & please leave me a comment!
En"joi" your day!
